I’ll be reading at Red Dragonfly Press, July 13, 2013 at 3 p.m. as part of the Anderson Center’s 14th Annual Summer Celebration of the Arts in Red Wing, Minnesota. The Star Tribune, in its 2013 Best of MN, named Red Dragongly as the Best Small Press You’ve Never Heard Of

The day’s poets on the 13th include:

2:00 Cristiane Flores Garcia

2:30 Timothy Otte

3:00 Naomi Cohn

Some of the residents at Anderson may be taking a swim on the day of the celebration

With all the arts festivities, the turtles may be hiding in the pond, but the Tower and House will be open for tours.

If you want a vertical hike, the Tower will be open to visitors on the 13th.

  1. Naomi, I’m enchanted to find your blog, and the writings and events related to memory and poetry, especially memorizing poetry. On long trips across South Dakota with my high school English teacher, to distant declamation and debate contests, she helped me memorize many poems, some ballads with thumping rhythm and regular rhyme (“The Highwayman”) and some airy and memorable due primarily to a central image or idea, such as “I burn my candle at both ends…” but now I think of it, that, too, rhymes. Ahh, my friend, congratulations and thanks.

    • Margaret…I’m enchanted you found it…I love how those poems we memoirzed long ago can still unfrul for for us at a moment’s notice
